Cook and member of Many Trails Indian Club of Los Angeles demonstrates all the steps to making fry bread according to her community's tradition.

Major themes briefly covered: Daily life, rug weaving, social life, courtship, wedding customs, sheepherding, preparing food, harvesting corn, carding and spinning wool, rug weaving, trade, silversmithing, social dances, and constructing a hogan.

Scenes of Navajo life include: sheepherding and animal husbandry; rug weaving; moccasin making; preparing food; visiting the trading post; farming; a marriage, silversmithing; conducting a sweat; performing a men’s Shooting Way Chant and sandpainting.

Film showcases three ceremonial dances performed at night: Great Feathered Arrow Dance, Feather Dance, and Fire Dance. Also features the arrivals of families to the event, making fry breads, and more.

Navajo activities depicted include silversmithing jewelry and bow guard, grinding corn meal and baking bread, eating a meal, ploughing and planting, family life, and wrapping a baby into a cradleboard. Views of Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly.
