Major themes briefly covered: Daily life, rug weaving, social life, courtship, wedding customs, sheepherding, preparing food, harvesting corn, carding and spinning wool, rug weaving, trade, silversmithing, social dances, and constructing a hogan.

*Culturally insensitive content.* Various Native communities perform ceremonial dances and compete in games in festivals at various locations like Tesuque Pueblo/Tetsʼúgéh Ówîngeh. Also features a Wampanoag marriage ceremony.

Scenes of Navajo life include: sheepherding and animal husbandry; rug weaving; moccasin making; preparing food; visiting the trading post; farming; a marriage, silversmithing; conducting a sweat; performing a men’s Shooting Way Chant and sandpainting.

An A/O grandfather tells his grandson about wedding customs and other things depicted in petroglyphs; also what may be a mock wedding ceremony. Narration incl. the roles of family members (esp. wives) using saguaro and cholla cacti as illustrations.
